Mark and Steve woke up this morning to what can only be described as the sound Liono from the Thundercats would make if he was being abused by Scooby Doo. This is the sound of Tims snoring at 5:22am. At one point he woke himself up, farted and then went back to snoring.
Steve was alive again this morning despite the stench in the room having shaken the sea large that saw him take an early night last night.
We opted for the premium breakfast which we got a discount for due to being frequent ferry goers. The food arrived under silver dishes that the frenchies revealed in a 'tada' moment as though we were meant to be surprised that we'd been given the food that we actually ordered.
After scoffing this we were leaving the restaurant when Steve went back to pay under massive protest from Tim who thought we were on for a free meal.
We then went outside on the top deck for some air and noticed the Whale Watcher people. Just as we went past, they shouted that they'd spotted a shark so we rushed over to see when they announced that it had gone now. Excuse the pun, but their story smells a bit fishy.
It was soon time to finally get off the ferry so we went to the hold and started loading the bikes, after about 10mins a voice came over the tannoy saying that we were not allowed in the hold yet, so we ignored tat and carried on.
It was sunny in Spain and we were glad to be on our way even though the first 10 to 15 mins were motorways, but we soon found some nice twisty roads heading into the mountains where we had a good blast and stretched the bikes legs.
After an hour we stopped for an ice cream and Tim found a nice piece of fruit that may count as one of his five a day.
We soon arrived at our hotel in Vitoria Gasteiz somewhere in Spain. We checked in and freshened up. Steve however left his helmet cam on and used it to spy on Tim in the shower ; he's now on the Spanish sex offenders list.
Out on the town, we stopped off for a few beers. The town is stunning with great murals and buildings everywhere.
We somehow ended up in a terrorist friendly freedom fighter bar where everyone had a massive bag of weed, strange place. Surprisingly the tapas sold well in this place.
We had a few more beers around town while trying to find a restaurant that was open before 9pm. We settled on a steak place and had a giant steak each which cost mostly nothing.
We went on to some more places and then went to 'bar street' which was meant to be the lively part of town, however, there were no bars there and it was empty so we had one final drink in Connops bar where Tommo played football with a dog that was chasing a bottle top around. The dog won 4-1, it would have been a whitewash had it not been for the own goal.
We headed back to the hotel with Tim on the lookout for a kebab shop when we went for one more nightcap and Tim ordered a whiskey. The barman made the mistake of asking how much whiskey he wanted and Tim pointed to the top of the glass jokingly, but he ended up with a pint of Jamesons. After that it was pretty much game over.
Today's stats culminate to 218 miles done, 4hours 15mins in the saddle, average speed 51.5mph. Plus, no dropped bikes.
