Day 2 - Around Colorado

Early 7:30 start still with the hospitality of Pete and Theresa in their fab house... We were soon on the road to Pikes Peak a rather large 14,000 foot mountain although when we were half way up though they told us that it was closed due to high winds, that may have been a good thing as it was -9C at the top!

So instead we explored some caves, then grabbed our first burger of the trip (5 Guys - 5/10) and then headed to Coors brewery. They do this free tour, and at the end you also get 3 free beers! So we're cutting the road trip short and spending the next 2 weeks here :)

Achievement: Worn a Stupid Hat

Following that we visited the Red Rock Stadium which was pretty cool, but there are approx 2 million stairs to it and running up stairs isn't so much fun at 7500 feet.

Then on to downtown Denver to meet Eiseg and Snickher and after a few beers we were soon swapping stories of the good ol' days. We were forced into another burger (forgot the name of the place - 6/10 for the buffalo burger) and some more beers.

Achievement: Forgot to Pack Something Important (phone charger)

Back to Pete's for some kip and we'll try that mountain again tomorrow.
400 miles done.
